Debra Murray is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration and a certificate in Nonprofit Management at Western Kentucky University. During her time in the program, she is serving as a graduate assistant doing research and marketing for the political science department.
She is also a freelance writer interested in covering politics and feature reporting. She hopes to tell stories using her writing and audio skills.
She graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s in Journalism and Political Science. During her time at WKU, she served as engagement editor of the College Heights Herald, the campus newsmagazine, and a magazine writer at the Talisman, the campus lifestyle and culture magazine.
She has worked at WFPL, part of Louisville Public Media, in Louisville, Kentucky, and the Richmond Register in Richmond, Kentucky.
Debra loves reading, specifically Joan Didion, and spending time with her cat, Oswald.
