Debra Murray is a journalist currently pursuing her Master of Public Administration and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management at Western Kentucky University.

She is currently a communications intern at Appalachian Voices, where she writes for their online and print publication, the Voice.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree from WKU in Journalism and Political Science. While in undergraduate, she served as editor-in-chief and engagement editor at the College Heights Herald and as a staff writer for Talisman, the campus lifestyle magazine.

She has previously interned at WFPL in Louisville and the Richmond Register.

When she isn’t working, she is found reading next to her cat, Oswald, or playing the Sims.
